A collaborative venture between Viero UK and a West Yorkshire college has helped to create history this month.
In partnership with Kirklees College, we have successfully delivered the UK’s first ever college training school for the application of Italian plaster and paints.
Seven pupils attended the two-day course at the Dewsbury campus where they were given an introduction to the Viero UK products, taught how to apply the products to create sample boards and learn more about the industry.
Viero UK Director Chris Walters said: “We’ve been working with Kirklees College since October last year promoting the course at a number of open days, so it’s fantastic to deliver the first of our courses.
“The college team showed great enthusiasm for our range of products and are now helping us to spread the word to the wider audience.
“This passion for our brand and the wide range of creative courses the college already offers made this a perfect partnership for us.”
People interested in signing up for the courses, which will run every month depending on demand, can sign up to either an introductory or advanced course depending on their level of experience using plaster products.
The course has been designed as a perfect learning zone for tradesmen in the painting and decorating industry who are keen to broaden their skills and add new services to their business.
The next training course is scheduled for February. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the next open day at Kirklees College on Friday 27 January 2017.
