Decorative Plaster Wall Soho House

Decorative Plaster Walls with Impact

Decorative wall plaster gives architects and interior designers the opportunity to create surfaces with far more character than standard paint. Rather than a flat finish, decorative plaster introduces texture, tonal variation and depth, allowing walls and ceilings to play an active role in the overall design.

As a dedicated surface design studio, we work with architects, interior designers and contractors to specify, sample and install decorative wall plaster across residential and commercial projects. From contemporary hotels and restaurants to private homes, retail spaces and workplaces, our finishes are selected to complement the architecture of each project rather than dominate it.

We help clients compare finishes, review handcrafted samples, develop bespoke colours and choose a surface that works with the wider material palette, lighting and intended use of the space.

What is Decorative Wall Plaster?

Decorative wall plaster is a specialist surface finish designed to add texture, movement and visual interest to walls and ceilings. Unlike conventional decorating materials, each finish is applied by hand, giving every surface its own character.

The application technique plays just as important a role as the material itself. The same plaster can produce different results depending on how it is applied, making decorative plaster an excellent choice for projects where a bespoke finish is required.

The collection includes everything from smooth Venetian plaster with subtle tonal movement through to heavily textured finishes inspired by concrete, natural stone, timber and weathered architectural surfaces.

Why Choose Decorative Wall Plaster?

Decorative plaster offers flexibility that is difficult to achieve with standard paint systems. Designers can introduce texture without adding bulk, create feature walls that respond to changing light, or specify finishes that echo the appearance of natural materials.

Many of the finishes within the Viero UK collection are also breathable, making them well suited to projects where traditional lime-based materials are preferred. Others have been developed for durability in busy commercial environments or moisture-prone spaces such as bathrooms, spa facilities and swimming pool areas.

Decorative wall plaster is regularly specified for:

  • Luxury homes and apartments
  • Hotels and hospitality venues
  • Restaurants and bars
  • Retail spaces
  • Offices and workplaces
  • Reception areas
  • Heritage buildings
  • Commercial developments

A Collection Designed for Different Architectural Styles

Every project has its own design language, so our collection includes finishes that suit a wide variety of interiors.

  • For projects requiring a smooth, understated appearance, finishes such as Veneto, Marmorin, Marmorin Sand and Lithos create elegant surfaces with varying levels of movement and sheen.
  • If a project calls for breathable mineral finishes, our lime-based collection includes Vellario, Travertine, Florentine, Marmorin Hydro and Vixalit. These finishes are often selected for their natural appearance, tactile quality and ability to complement both contemporary and traditional architecture.
  • For more expressive surfaces, our textured collection includes Visocalce Craters, Cemento, Stone, Wood, Corduroy and Krakkle. Each offers a different visual effect, from cratered textures and concrete-inspired finishes to decorative surfaces that reflect the appearance of timber or natural stone.
  • Where a project requires a waterproof decorative finish for walls and floors, OLTRE Microcement provides a joint-free system suitable for bathrooms, shower enclosures, kitchens, spa facilities and commercial interiors.

Because every finish is hand applied, the final appearance is shaped by the artisan as well as the material itself. This allows surfaces to be developed around the design intent rather than relying on a standard factory-produced finish.
